Elsie

Description: A sea serpant with yellowish/ greenish skin and scales and a long ribbon like tail. Described as being 12 feet to 100 feet long. 

Location/Range: Found within Lake Elsinore. 

Sightings: Since 1884 there have been consistent Elsie sightings from residents and visitors to the area.  

Fun Fact: When Lake Elsinore was drained in the 1960s it is thought that Elsie found a safe hiding place in a water filled cave and returned to the main lake once it was refilled.
