Tripodero

Description: Two telescoping legs, an elephant-like trunk, and a kangaroo-like tail with smooth pink skin.

Location/Range: Mountain ranges of central California. A similar species with four legs is found in Texas.

Sightings: Sightings were most prominent during the California Gold Rush era.

Fun Fact: The Tripodero makes a high pitched whistling sound when agitated. This is usually followed by the Tripodero forming mud into a ball that it throws with its trunk.
